Brand

The Ladder S, and how to use it.

The identity says three things at once: restraint (monochrome, hairline, generous space), structure (the ladder — autonomy earned rung by rung), and one warm signal (mint: the rung that has been earned). Nothing else. Geometry is fixed in the SVG files below; do not redraw it.

The mark

An S drawn as three rungs joined by two rounded bends, set in a rounded tile. The bottom rung is mint — the last rung, the one you earn. Minimum size 16 px. Never recolour the rung; never rotate, skew, outline, or add a gradient, shadow or glow.

Primary mark: navy tile, white S, mint bottom rung, on white.
Primary — default on light surfaces

Inverse mark: white tile, navy S, mint bottom rung, on navy deep.
Inverse — default on navy and dark surfaces
Favicon: the primary mark with a slightly heavier stroke for small sizes.
Favicon — heavier stroke for 16–32 px

The lockup

Mark and wordmark side by side is the primary logo. Minimum width 96 px. Clear space: one tile-width of the mark on every side. The wordmark is Inter SemiBold converted to paths — never set it in another typeface, re-space it, or stretch it. Taglines sit outside the lockup, in body type.

Horizontal lockup for light surfaces: navy mark and navy wordmark.

Horizontal lockup for dark surfaces: inverse mark and white wordmark.

Colour

60–70% neutral (white and cloud, or navy deep), 20–30% navy, mint under 5%. Mint is never a background. There is no second accent.

Every change to a Kubernetes fleet — a release, a config edit, a right-sizing, a node reduction, a coding agent's deploy — through one ledger, with a replayed safety argument and a record of what the system refused to do.

Voice

Plain, specific, calm. The company sounds like the engineer you trust in the change-advisory meeting: says exactly what will happen, what it will not do, and why. Short sentences. Concrete nouns. Numbers are real or absent.

Don't

  • Don't put the mark on a photo.
  • Don't use the glyph without its tile on a page background.
  • Don't stretch the wordmark or set it in a colour other than navy, white or ink.
  • Don't add a second colour to charts before series 3 (slate).
  • Don't recolour the rung, rotate, skew, outline, or add a gradient, shadow or glow to the mark.
  • Don't write “SEYLO” or “seylo” — it is Seylo.
