Data Processing Addendum
In short. When your organisation brings data into Seylo, we process it on your behalf and only on your instructions. This page summarises the terms. To sign the full addendum, email support@seylo.in.
Where the GDPR applies, the addendum incorporates the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses and the UK Addendum.
1. Roles
Your organisation is the controller (data fiduciary) of the data it brings into the Service. Seylo Labs Private Limited is the processor, acting on your instructions as set out in the Terms of Service and your configuration of the product.
2. What is processed
The categories of data described on our data-handling page, and personal data about your users described on our PII handling page. Kubernetes Secret values and raw telemetry are not processed by Seylo; they stay in your cluster.
3. Our commitments
- Process your data only to provide, secure and support the Service, and only on your instructions.
- Make sure the people who can access it are bound by confidentiality.
- Apply the security measures described on our security page.
- Use only the sub-processors we list, under contracts that protect your data at least as well, and tell you before adding one.
- Help you respond to requests from individuals exercising their rights.
- Notify you of a personal data breach affecting your data without undue delay, and within 72 hours of becoming aware of it.
- At the end of the agreement, delete your data within 90 days of a written request, or return it first if you ask. We keep the audit trail, and the billing and tax records the law requires, only for as long as they are needed.
- Make available, on request, the information needed to show we meet these commitments, and allow one audit a year at your cost, on reasonable notice.
4. International transfers
Customer data is hosted on Microsoft Azure in the United States. Where the GDPR applies, transfers rely on the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses and the UK Addendum.
5. Requesting a signed copy
Email support@seylo.in with your organisation’s legal name and the name of the person signing.
